CRS354 48-Port PoE Switch
The MikroTik CRS354-48P RM model (CRS354-48P-4S+2Q+RM) is a 1RU Cloud Router Switch with 48 Gigabit Ethernet PoE ports, four 10G SFP+ cages, and two 40G QSFP+ cages. It is built for dense access layers that still need 10G/40G aggregation. Dual-boot RouterOS and SwOS let the same chassis run as a switch-centric or router-centric node. PoE on the 48 copper ports follows MikroTik’s published budget and 802.3af/at behaviour for this SKU. QSFP+ ports accept 40G modules or breakout cables according to RouterOS support.
Additionally, 40G uplinks reduce oversubscription when many APs and cameras share the same leaf. Therefore this chassis is a step above 24-port CRS328 designs. However, total PoE watts are limited by the internal PSU. Consequently, calculate camera IR and AP peak draw before filling all 48 ports.
