Description

24-Port Multi-Gig Layer 3 Switching

The Ubiquiti USW-Pro-Max-24-PoE is a rack-mountable Layer 3 switch with 24 RJ45 ports and a 400W power budget. It pairs 2.5GbE PoE++ delivery with Etherlighting status indication for WiFi 7 access points, cameras and high-draw edge hardware.

Eight 2.5GbE ports deliver PoE++ at up to 60W each. Sixteen Gigabit ports complete the array, split into eight PoE+ ports at 30W and eight PoE++ ports at 60W. Two 10G SFP+ cages carry uplinks or aggregation traffic. The shared 400W budget covers every powered port in the chassis.

Non-blocking throughput reaches 56 Gbps against a 112 Gbps switching capacity, so the array forwards at line rate. Layer 3 routing, static routes and inter-VLAN forwarding run through UniFi Network firmware. An internal 450W AC/DC supply feeds the unit from a single rack feed.

The 1U chassis measures 442 x 325 x 43.7 mm and weighs 5.1 kg without brackets. Front-to-rear airflow suits wiring closets and small server rooms. Etherlighting LEDs show port speed, link state and power draw at a glance.

Key Features

  • Multi-Gig PoE++ Port Bank
Eight 2.5GbE RJ45 ports each supply up to 60W for WiFi 7 APs and pan-tilt-zoom cameras.

  • Shared 400W Power Allocation
The internal supply distributes 400W across all powered ports with per-port budgeting in the controller.

  • Etherlighting Port Status

    • Color-coded link speed and activity indication
    • Per-port power draw visibility from the rack
  • Layer 3 Routing Engine
Hardware inter-VLAN forwarding and static routes reduce upstream router load on segmented networks.

  • Dual 10G SFP+ Cages
Two SFP+ slots accept 10G optics or DAC cables for backbone and server uplinks.

  • Rack-Mount Chassis
A 1U steel enclosure ships with mounting brackets for standard 19-inch cabinets.

Why Choose Ubiquiti Pro Max 24 PoE

  • One 1U chassis covers 24 powered devices with mixed 2.5GbE and Gigabit access ports.

  • Layer 3 forwarding keeps inter-VLAN traffic off the core router in segmented deployments.

  • Dual 10G uplinks leave headroom for aggregation as access port counts grow.

  • Controller-based power budgeting prevents over-subscription of the 400W envelope.
