On-Demand Water Pressure for Vehicle Systems

The Front Runner WTAN019 is a compact 12V diaphragm pump that pressurises water systems in trucks, campers and vans. It delivers 3.8 litres per minute and runs fully automatic on demand. A sealed pressure switch starts the motor when a tap opens and stops it when the tap closes.

The unit measures 160 mm in length and weighs 0.8 kg, with an overall envelope of 110 x 205 x 65 mm. Pressure switches on at 22 PSI and off at 35 PSI. Hose barb ports accept standard water line, and plug-in fittings simplify installation inside tight lockers and cabinets.

Self-priming operation allows mounting above the supply tank. The motor can run dry without damage and carries a built-in thermal protector. Wetted parts avoid metal contact, and the housing resists acid, alkali and corrosion. Maximum liquid temperature is 54°C (130°F).

Low current draw suits battery-powered builds, and the soft Santoprene mounting system isolates vibration from the vehicle body. One pump can supply up to three fixtures, running one or two at a time. Check hose clamp torque and inlet strainer condition at each service interval.
