Description

Round Nose Digging Tool for Vehicle Recovery

The Front Runner REQU162 spade is a round nose digging shovel built for overland recovery and camp work. The rounded blade scoops loose sand, gravel and soil without the corner snagging of a square mouth. A steel shaft carries the load from the grip to the blade socket.

The round nose profile suits trenching around tyres and clearing packed material from a bogged wheel. The blade edge cuts into compacted ground while the curved scoop retains the load during lift. A metal hilt separates the upper grip zone from the shaft. The compact overall length keeps the tool stowable on a roof rack or load bed.

Front Runner builds the spade for vehicle-mounted expedition use. The powder-coated finish resists surface corrosion from mud and coastal air. The shaft section accepts standard roof rack spade mounts with an M8 accessory channel. Store the spade dry after use and wipe the blade to slow edge rust.

Key Features

Why Choose This Round Nose Spade

  • The rounded scoop moves loose material faster than a flat blade in sand.

  • A steel shaft survives levering loads when clearing around a buried tyre.

  • The powder-coated body tolerates repeated exposure to mud and wet ground.

  • Roof rack mounting keeps the tool outside the cabin and clear of cargo.

  • The compact length stores on a load bed without protruding past the tailgate.

  • A metal hilt improves grip control when digging in compacted soil.
