The 7 Pin Plug Male is a 12 V trailer connector that follows the ISO 1724 Type N contact layout for towing vehicle wiring. It uses a moulded plastic body and screw terminals for field assembly. The male pins engage a matching female socket on the trailer harness.

Seven pins carry stop, tail, indicator, reverse, and auxiliary circuits. The plug accepts cable cores up to 1.5 mm² and secures each conductor with a screw clamp. A strain-relief gland holds the cable jacket and limits movement at the terminals. The contact block separates adjacent pins with moulded barriers.

The connector suits light commercial vehicles, caravans, and utility trailers with 12 V electrical systems. Installers strip the cable, terminate each core to the numbered pin, and tighten the housing. The plastic shell resists road splash and dust during normal towing duty. A rear compression gland accepts cable diameters from 6 mm to 8 mm.

Pin 3 carries the common return on a 2.5 mm² conductor, while the remaining six pins use 1.5 mm² cores. The plug rated current reaches 20 A on 1.5 mm² cable and up to 25 A on 2.5 mm² cable. Terminal screws use a pozidriv head and remain accessible after the housing opens. The black housing distinguishes the Type N plug from white supplementary Type S connectors.

The moulded body meets IP54 splash protection when the housing closes fully. Contacts use nickel-plated brass for corrosion resistance in humid or coastal conditions. The plug measures 72 mm in diameter and fits standard ISO 1724 socket shrouds. A removable rear cover exposes all seven terminals for inspection or re-termination.
