Description
Loaded 48-Fiber Multimode Housing
The 48 port SC/UPC duplex panel arrives pre-terminated with 24 duplex adapters and 48 OM3 pigtails. It occupies one rack unit in a 19-inch frame and accepts fusion splices inside the drawer. Technicians install it as a complete termination point rather than building one on site.
Each adapter carries two SC/UPC ceramic ferrules. OM3 fibre uses a 50 µm core with a 125 µm cladding and a 900 µm buffer. Attenuation runs at or below 3.0 dB/km at 850 nm and 1.0 dB/km at 1300 nm. Effective modal bandwidth reaches 2000 MHz·km.
The loaded drawer measures 483 x 44 x 200 mm and slides forward on steel rails. Two catches lock the tray at 45° for splicing and at 10° for routine inspection. The rear accepts four 10 mm gland entries plus two 20 mm ports, and an open centre section passes pre-terminated trunks.
Twelve-fibre groups follow the standard aqua OM3 colour code. Ports carry individual numbers above and below the adapter block for traceability. The aluminium housing ships with rack snap fixings and adjustable mounting ears.
