The OEM 24 Port SC/UPC patch panel serves as a centralized termination point for multimode fiber optic backbones. This 1U rackmount enclosure accommodates 24 duplex SC/UPC adapters. It includes 48 pre-terminated OM3 pigtails to streamline the splicing process. Engineers utilize this hardware in data centers requiring 10Gbps throughput. The laser-optimized 50/125 micrometer fiber cores support high-speed data transmission over medium distances.
The chassis consists of heavy-duty cold-rolled steel with a powder-coated finish. This construction resists physical impact and environmental corrosion. A sliding drawer mechanism provides front-side access to the internal splice trays. This design eliminates the need to remove the unit from the rack for maintenance. Internal cable management rings maintain proper bend radius for all incoming and outgoing fibers. This prevents signal attenuation caused by macro-bending. The internal splice trays support up to 48 fusion splices. Each tray includes heat-shrink sleeve holders to secure the protective tubes. Transparent covers on the trays allow visual inspection of the fiber routing. The enclosure accommodates various cable types including loose tube and tight-buffered cables. Integrated strain relief brackets secure the outer jackets of the incoming trunks. This prevents mechanical stress on the delicate splices.
