Roof Rack Mounted Vehicle Awning

The Tentco Easy-Out Awning 2m mounts to a roof rack and unrolls to cover a 2 m wide by 2.1 m deep area beside the vehicle. Two people complete the set-up in under 60 seconds. The retracted unit packs into a 2110 x 120 x 120 mm bundle at 12.5 kg.

The canopy uses 400d oxford/polyester ripstop with a PU coating rated to 1500 mm hydrostatic head. UVP 50+ treatment limits fabric degradation under sustained sun. Reflective guy ropes and two tent stakes anchor the corners in wind. Reinforced corner sections and Velcro tabs hold the fabric steady along the rafters.

Telescopic aluminium twist-lock uprights and rafter poles extend to 2.4 m for taller vehicles. The uprights carry ground spikes for secure placement on soft or uneven terrain. A full-length aluminium backing plate bolts to the supplied L-shaped brackets. The zippered 650 g PVC-coated nylon cover stays attached to the vehicle between trips.

Three mounting loops along the rafter accept an LED light strip for evening use. Optional side walls, a mosquito net and a wind break clip to the same extrusion. Store the awning dry before zipping the bag closed. Check bracket torque after the first loaded trip and inspect the guy ropes for fraying each season.
