Scroll Compressor for Counter-Top Ice Machines

The SnoMaster ZB15 compressor serves as the refrigeration core for the ZBC-15 counter-top ice maker. It delivers 15 kg of bullet ice per 24 hours across three selectable sizes. The hermetic scroll design runs on a 220-240 V single-phase supply at 50 Hz.

The compressor uses R134a or R404A refrigerant and produces approximately 2.37 kW of cooling capacity at ARI conditions. A 15.28 cm³ displacement and permanent split capacitor motor drive the scroll set. Input power sits near 0.76 kW at nominal load.

POE oil lubricates the scroll chamber, and the factory charge holds 280-320 ml. Suction and discharge connections use 1/2-inch and 3/4-inch rotolock fittings. The shell measures roughly 241 mm in diameter and 369 mm in height, and the unit weighs about 15 kg.

Internal motor protection and a discharge temperature sensor guard against overload. The compressor restarts after a three-minute delay to prevent short cycling. Mounting holes match the ZBC-15 base plate, and the terminal box accepts standard spade connectors.
