Description
Singlemode Patch Lead for 1310/1550 nm Links
The SC-SC APC OS2 patch cord links single-mode ports across a 20 m run using angle-polished SC connectors at both ends. Green APC boots and housings mark the 8-degree ferrule end-face, which suppresses back reflection on 1310 nm and 1550 nm links.
The assembly uses 9/125 µm OS2 fiber in a simplex construction with a 900 µm buffer and a 2.0 mm outer jacket. Zirconia ceramic ferrules hold alignment through repeated mating cycles. Insertion loss stays at or below 0.3 dB per connector pair.
APC polishing lifts return loss to 60 dB or better, which matters on analog CATV, PON, and DWDM spans. The LSZH jacket emits low smoke and halogen in fire conditions. Each cord carries an individual test report on insertion and return loss, and the yellow sheath follows the single-mode colour convention.
