The filter measures 84.5 mm in height, 41.2 mm in width and 81 mm in length. The installation hole diameter is 29.7 mm. One cartridge treats enough water for up to 625 cups. Eight consecutive filter changes extend machine life to 5000 cups without a descaling cycle.

Compatible original codes include CA6903, CA6903/00, CA6903/01, CA6903/22, CA6903/99, 421945032231, 421945054371 and 421945062931. The unit ships from Switzerland. A machine reminder signals the replacement interval, and the swap takes under a minute.

Ion exchange resin captures calcium and magnesium ions before they enter the brew circuit. The microporous membrane then traps fine particles that pass the resin bed. This two-stage path reduces scale deposits on the thermoblock, brew group and steam valve. Lower scale load keeps pump pressure stable across extraction.

Install the cartridge by twisting it into the tank port until the seal seats. The 29.7 mm hole aligns with the filter neck. Run the machine rinse cycle after fitting to flush trapped air. Replace the cartridge when the machine reminder appears or after the rated cup count, whichever comes first.
