Dual-Chain Ceiling Access Point for 2.4 GHz Networks
The Mikrotik cAP-2nD is a RouterBOARD ceiling access point built for 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 4 deployments. It pairs a dual-chain radio with a 650 MHz QCA9533 CPU and RouterOS Level 4 inside a 185 mm round chassis.
Two spatial chains and 2 dBi internal antennas produce a 300 Mbit/s PHY ceiling on 802.11b/g/n clients. A single 10/100 Ethernet port carries user traffic and accepts 802.3af/at PoE input across an 11–57 V range.
Peak consumption is 4 W, so a PoE switch powers the unit without a local mains outlet at the mount point. Passive cooling and a tested -40°C to 70°C ambient range support continuous duty in commercial ceiling voids.
