The Mikrotik S-85DLC05D is a 1.25G SFP transceiver built for 1000BASE-SX links over multimode fiber. It pairs an 850nm VCSEL transmitter with a dual LC UPC connector and reaches 550m. Digital diagnostics report live optical and thermal data.
Transmit output spans -9 to -3 dBm, and average receiver sensitivity sits at -24 dBm. Maximum received power reaches 0 dBm, while LOS asserts at -36 dBm and de-asserts at -24 dBm. The module runs from a single 3.3V rail and draws under 1W. Hot-swap support lets engineers seat it in any SFP 1G cage without powering down the chassis.
The metal housing is tested from -40 to +85°C, which suits outdoor cabinets and unheated rooms. MTBF is roughly 100,000 hours at 25°C. Units interoperate with MikroTik RouterBOARD and CCR hardware and with third-party SFP slots. Reach depends on fiber grade, and OM3 or OM4 cable extends the span beyond the 550m rating.
