Description
Handheld 1D Reader for Retail Checkouts
The MB-2122 laser barcode scanner is a handheld 1D reader for retail counters, pharmacies and stock rooms. A visible laser engine sweeps a single line across the label and decodes EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, Code 39, Code 128, Codabar and Interleaved 2 of 5. A manual trigger starts each read, which prevents stray scans on a busy till.
The scanner connects over USB and reports as a keyboard input device on Windows systems, POS terminals and inventory software. No driver installation is required, so a replacement unit can enter service within minutes. Scanning distance covers the normal retail presentation range, from a label held close to the window out to a comfortable arm’s length.
A durable ABS casing protects the optical bench and trigger assembly through counter drops and trolley handling. The unit suits supermarkets, warehouses, pharmacies and libraries, where staff scan cartons, shelf labels and borrower cards in sequence. Laser aiming keeps the read line visible on printed labels under typical indoor lighting.

Quick start guide
Why Choose the MB-2122
The laser line reads printed shelf labels and carton codes without the ambient-light sensitivity of camera units.
USB HID output means a failed scanner swaps out without touching the POS configuration.
The manual trigger gives the cashier control over each scan and limits duplicate reads.
EAN, UPC, Code 128 and Codabar coverage handles grocery, pharmacy and library catalogues.
The ABS body survives counter knocks and repeated trigger use across shifts.
A single cable carries both power and data, so no separate supply is needed at the lane.
