Description
Single-group commercial espresso platform
The Gaggia GD1 Compact is a one-group commercial espresso machine built for cafés, kiosks and small kitchens with limited counter depth. A 4.9-litre copper boiler holds brew temperature across consecutive shots. The unit runs on 230-240 V single phase and draws up to 3200 W.
A 15-bar pump feeds the group, and electronic control supports both automatic and manual dispensing. Output reaches roughly 120 cups per hour under normal service conditions. The machine uses ground coffee rather than capsules, so the operator controls dose and tamp. A pressure gauge reads pump and boiler pressure at the front panel.
Dimensions measure 500 mm wide, 380 mm deep and 540 mm high, with a net weight near 37 kg. A waste container sits under the group, and the cup warming surface preheats service cups above the boiler. The steam wand produces dry steam for cappuccino and latte service, and a hot water outlet supports tea and Americano orders.
The boiler fills automatically from the mains supply, which keeps the heating element covered during draw-off. A vibratory pump supplies the group at stable pressure, and the electronic keypad controls single and double shots. Routine backflushing and group gasket inspection keep the brew path clean between services.
Installation needs a potable water connection, a drain path and a 230-240 V circuit sized for the 3200 W element. Confirm the counter load rating before placement, because the filled machine exceeds 40 kg. Commission by flushing the boiler, setting pump pressure against the gauge and checking the steam valve for leaks.
