Articulating Side Mounts for Recovery Boards

The Front Runner RRAC103 is a pair of articulating side brackets that carry recovery boards and gear on the side profile of a Slimline II roof rack. Two brackets ship in the kit with stainless fasteners. Each bracket measures 313 mm long, 65 mm wide and 178 mm high.

The brackets hold MAXTRAX, TRED Pro and other recovery devices with matching hole spacing. They also take the Pro Ski, Snowboard and Fishing Rod Carrier, which sells separately. Height and angle adjust to suit different vehicle profiles and body lines.

Construction uses black powder-coated 3CR12 stainless steel with stainless steel fasteners. The coating matches the finish on Slimline II racks. A pair weighs 4.4 kg, which keeps added mass low on the rack side profile.

Stud mounting dimensions are 230 mm between inner hole centres and 270 mm between outer hole centres. The kit includes two bolt types, so crews can hold one pair or two pairs of boards. Swap the bolts for the MAXTRAX Mounting Pin Set to lock boards against removal.

Fitment targets the Slimline II rack and the original Slimline rack. The Slimsport rack range needs the separate Slimsport Side Mount Accessory Bracket before these units will seat. Confirm the rack model before ordering to avoid a return.

Installation runs along the side profile, so the load sits outside the tray footprint. That placement frees deck space for cargo boxes, fridges and jerry cans. Inspect the bracket bolts after the first long trip and re-torque to specification.
