Runtime Expansion for EVI Rack-Mount UPS Systems
The EVI UPS battery extension adds a dedicated 16-battery reservoir to compatible 6 kVA and 10 kVA rack-mount online UPS platforms. It connects as an external battery cabinet and increases autonomy during mains failures. Engineers can size runtime for servers, switches, and storage without replacing the primary UPS module.
The unit carries sixteen 12 V 7 Ah sealed lead-acid batteries in a steel 4U chassis. It mounts in a standard 19-inch rack and occupies 4U of vertical space. The cabinet measures 440 × 621.5 × 175 mm, and the loaded unit weighs approximately 59 kg. A heavy-duty steel enclosure protects the battery string in server-room environments.
Compatibility covers the EVI EP-UPS6000P11OR and EP-UPS10000P11OR online double-conversion models. The battery pack uses VRLA chemistry, so it requires no electrolyte topping. Installers should plan for adequate rack load rating, ventilation, and battery maintenance access. The external cabinet extends backup time for orderly shutdowns or generator handover.
