Expedition Platform Rack for the Prado 150

The Eezi-Awn K9-031 roof rack is a 1250 x 2000 mm aluminium platform built for the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 150. The kit mounts over the roof pinch-weld trim and uses the factory roof rack points, so no drilling is required. It carries roof tents, jerry cans, recovery boards and awnings on a flat, welded deck.

The platform measures 35 mm thick and uses extruded aluminium with fully welded joints rather than bolted corners. That construction keeps the frame rigid on corrugated track and removes the rattle that bolt-together racks develop. Matte black powder coat covers every component, and the semi-elliptical bottom cross braces cut wind noise at highway speed.

Five 130 mm wide M8 T-slot slats run front to back across the deck. An M6 T-slot runs around the top perimeter with a rounded edge, which accepts eye bolts, tie-down rings and accessory brackets. The standard 65 mm feet place the deck roughly 127 mm above the roofline. Eezi-Awn lists a static capacity near 454 kg and a dynamic capacity near 227 kg, subject to the vehicle roof rating.

Fitting takes about 1.5 hours with basic hand tools, and two people should lift the platform into position. The mounting rail follows the factory roof points, so the rack can be removed and the rail left in place. Confirm the Prado 150 roof load limit before loading the platform to its full dynamic figure.
