Description
Layer 3 Copper and Fiber Switching for Edge Cabinets
The Ubiquiti USW-Pro-8-PoE is an eight-port Layer 3 switch that pairs six Gigabit PoE+ ports with two 60W PoE++ ports and dual 10G SFP+ uplinks. It delivers a 120W total PoE budget from a single wall-mounted chassis.
Every RJ45 port negotiates 10/100/1000 Mbps at line rate. The two SFP+ cages accept 10G fiber or DAC modules for aggregation and backbone links. Non-blocking throughput reaches 28 Gbps, and the switching fabric is rated at 56 Gbps.
Management runs in-band over Ethernet through the UniFi Network application, release 7.5.176 or later. A 1.3-inch color touchscreen reports port state, PoE draw and IP addressing at the enclosure. The internal AC/DC power supply accepts 100–240V AC at 2A maximum.
Power draw stays at 30W or below with PoE output excluded. Per-port limits are 15W for 802.3af, 30W for 802.3at and 60W for 802.3bt. The unit operates from -5 to 45°C at 10 to 90% non-condensing humidity.
Key Features
Mixed PoE+ and PoE++ Output
Six PoE+ ports deliver 30W each, while two PoE++ ports supply 60W for access points, pan-tilt-zoom cameras and powered peripherals.Dual 10G SFP+ Uplinks
Two SFP+ cages carry 10G traffic to aggregation switches or fiber backbones without consuming copper access ports.Layer 3 Routing Functions
- Inter-VLAN routing and static routes between local networks
- DHCP server and DHCP relay for segmented subnets
- IGMP snooping, STP/RSTP with per-port priority, LACP aggregation
Front-Panel Touchscreen
A 1.3-inch color LCD shows link state, PoE consumption and addressing, which speeds up on-site fault isolation.Deployment Protection
- DHCP snooping and 802.1X port control
- Storm control, egress rate limiting and port isolation
- Loop protection with configurable MAC limits

Quick start guide
Why Choose the UniFi Pro 8 PoE Switch
One managed PoE switch covers both 30W and 60W device classes, which reduces the number of injectors and midspans in a cabinet.
The 120W PoE switch budget leaves headroom for access points, door controllers and cameras on a single 100–240V AC feed.
Twin 10G SFP+ uplinks keep the PoE++ network switch off copper aggregation ports and support fiber runs to a core stack.
Layer 3 PoE switch routing keeps inter-VLAN traffic local to the edge, which cuts latency and core load.
The metal and polycarbonate enclosure mounts on a wall or inside a small distribution box, so deployment needs no rack rails.

120W budget covers our APs fine.

Both SFP+ ports linked straight to our core, no fuss.

Adopted in the controller right away. Layer 3 config took a bit of reading.
