Portable AC/DC Cooling for Vehicles and Off-Grid Use

The SnoMaster SMDZ-TR42S fridge provides 42 litres of single-compartment cooling across a -22°C to 10°C range. It runs from 230V AC mains or 12V/24V DC supply through secure mini Anderson connectors. A 45W SnoMaster compressor drives the refrigeration circuit, drawing 3.75A at 12V and 0.42A at 220V.

The cabinet uses 50mm polyurethane insulation to hold temperature with minimal compressor cycling. A three-speed setting offers High, Auto and Low profiles, while the low-voltage cut-out protects the supply battery at 10, 10.7 or 11.8V. The fixed hinged lid carries a lid-open alarm and an internal LED light.

Stainless steel hinges, locks and handles resist dust and vibration in vehicle installations. Corner feet include mounting holes for permanent fixing. The unit measures 520 x 365 x 680 mm and weighs 23.5 kg. SnoMaster rates the design for African ambient conditions and recommends 150 mm clearance around the body.

The package includes baskets, a bottle opener, a solar-powered remote control and a transit cover. A wireless temperature monitor reports internal conditions without opening the lid. Operators can swap the temperature controller when service demands it, which reduces downtime on remote trips.

Suggested deployments cover camping, road trips, load-shedding backup, outdoor events, fishing and hunting. The single compartment holds food and ice in one zone. All dimensions include handles, locks and hinges but exclude the transit cover.
