Description
16-Port Gigabit PoE+ Distribution Switch
The Netgear GS116LP PoE+ switch provides 16 Gigabit Ethernet copper ports, all rated for 802.3af and 802.3at power delivery. Every port supplies up to 30 W, enough for PTZ cameras, PoE lighting, and wireless access points. A bundled 90 W external adapter sets the total power budget at 76 W.
The unit switches at 32 Gbps non-blocking with a 4K MAC table and a 1 MB packet buffer. Store-and-forward forwarding, IEEE 802.1p priority queues, and DSCP marking keep voice and video traffic ahead of bulk data. Jumbo frame support and 802.3az energy-efficient Ethernet are active without configuration.
Deployment is passive: no fans, no utility, no agent software. The metal chassis measures 286 x 102 x 27 mm and weighs 0.88 kg, so it sits on a desk, fixes to a wall, or slides into a 19-inch rack using the supplied kits. Front-panel LEDs report power, link, speed, activity, and per-port PoE state.
Key Features
Sixteen PoE+ Ports
All 16 RJ45 ports negotiate 10/100/1000BASE-T and deliver IEEE 802.3af or 802.3at power without a separate injector.FlexPoE Upgradable Power Budget
- Bundled EPS90W adapter supplies 90 W input and 76 W of usable PoE power.
- EPS130W raises the budget to 115 W; EPS200W raises it to 183 W.
- An onboard selector matches the switch to the installed adapter.
Fanless Metal Chassis
Zero acoustic output allows mounting in open offices, reception areas, or closed cabinets.Plug-and-Play Operation
Auto-negotiation, Auto MDI/MDIX, and automatic PoE class detection complete with no management interface.Traffic Prioritisation
Eight hardware queues with a 1:3:5:7:8:10:12:15 WRR ratio protect latency-sensitive streams.Silent, Compact Mounting
The 286 mm wide enclosure fits shallow wall boxes and half-depth rack positions.

Why Choose Netgear GS116LP
The 16-port PoE+ switch covers a full camera or access point group from one chassis and one uplink.
FlexPoE power budget scaling avoids a full replacement when device count grows: swap the adapter, keep the switch.
This fanless rack switch suits noise-sensitive rooms and dust-exposed cabinets with no moving parts to service.
As a plug-and-play Gigabit switch, it needs no IP address, credentials, or firmware baseline before it forwards traffic.
802.3at power delivery covers 30 W endpoints, including pan-tilt-zoom cameras and Wi-Fi 6 access points.
A Gigabit unmanaged switch design keeps the attack surface minimal, since no web or CLI management plane exists.
