The Megamaster Oak braai is a steel-bodied charcoal and wood grill built for patio cooking and campsite use. It carries a chrome-plated cooking grid over a fire bowl with a removable ash pan. The open-topped design accepts lump charcoal, briquettes and split hardwood.

The body uses formed steel sheet with a heat-resistant coating. A chrome-plated grid sits above the fire bowl and lifts out for cleaning. The ash pan slides free of the bowl, so spent coals drop without tipping the whole unit. Side handles allow two-person lifting when the grill is cold.

Ventilation slots in the bowl control airflow under the fire. Adjustable vents let the operator raise or lower heat without moving the grid. The unit suits direct grilling over coals and indirect cooking with the lid option where fitted. Assembly follows the supplied hardware kit and requires a spanner and screwdriver.

Place the unit on a level, heat-resistant surface away from walls, dry grass and overhanging branches. Light a small starter fire and let the coals ash over before cooking. Spread coals in a single layer for direct heat or bank them to one side for two-zone cooking. Never use the grill indoors or in a closed garage.

Empty the ash pan only after the coals have fully cooled. Wipe the chrome grid with an oiled cloth after each cook to slow surface rust. Store the unit under cover during the rainy season, since standing water accelerates corrosion on the steel body. A fitted cover also keeps ash dry between cooks.
