Megamaster 630 Gas Insert 3-Burner Stainless Steel Built-In Braai 27,000 BTU

Built-In Gas Braai Conversion Unit

The Megamaster 630 gas insert converts an existing built-in braai into a gas grill. It measures 630 x 510 x 200 mm and carries a 1723 cm² cast iron grid. Three 410-grade stainless steel pancake burners produce 27,000 BTU across the firebox.

A stainless steel firebox and lid resist corrosion on coastal patios. Each burner sits under a stainless flame tamer that spreads heat across the grid and limits flare-ups from dripping fat. A push-and-turn ignition lights the burners without a separate lighter. The supplied hose and regulator connect to a 9 kg gas cylinder.

The unit drops into a masonry or steel braai cavity with a 630 x 510 mm opening and 200 mm depth. Its 14.5 kg body suits one-person handling during fitment. A slide-out drip tray catches fat and crumbs. The gas cylinder stays outside the cavity and ships separately.

Test the hose and regulator joints with soapy water before the first burn. Open the lid before ignition to clear any gas build-up. Clean the cast iron grid while it is still warm and empty the drip tray after each session. Store the cylinder upright and replace the hose if it stiffens or cracks.
