Description
110/88 IDC Termination Tool
The Impact Punch Down Tool seats conductors into 110 and 88 type IDC blocks on patch panels, keystone jacks and cross-connect frames. A spring-loaded impact mechanism drives the blade with consistent force. The hardened steel blade reverses between a punch-only end and a punch-and-cut end.
The tool body measures roughly 140 mm in length and weighs about 114 grams. High-impact plastic forms the handle and houses the spring mechanism. A storage cavity in the handle top holds one spare square blade. The reversible blade locks into the nose with a simple pull and rotate action.
The impact action seats 22 to 26 AWG solid copper conductors without deforming the IDC contact. The cut side trims excess wire flush after termination. The tool works on Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6A patch panels as well as voice cross-connects. No adjustable pressure dial is fitted; the spring delivers a fixed strike force.
A rubberised grip section reduces hand slip during long termination runs. The blade holder accepts standard square-profile replacement blades. Field technicians carry the unit in a tool pouch because the 140 mm body fits shallow cabinets. The striker resets after each punch, so the next conductor seats on the following press.
Key Features
Reversible Punch and Cut Blade
One end seats the conductor and the other end trims the wire flush after termination.110 and 88 IDC Compatibility
The blade profile fits both 110-type and 88-type terminal blocks used in voice and data cabling.Spring Impact Mechanism
- Fixed strike force seats conductors consistently across a patch field
- No pressure dial to adjust or drift during use
- Spring return resets the striker after each punch
Hardened Steel Blade
The blade holds its edge through repeated terminations on solid copper conductors.Spare Blade Storage
A cavity in the handle top carries one additional square blade for field replacement.Compact 140 mm Body
The short handle fits inside crowded patch cabinets and wall boxes.Rubberised Grip
The textured grip section limits hand slip during long cabling runs.Standard Square Blade Holder
The nose accepts common square-profile replacement blades for field service.

Why Choose This Termination Tool
The fixed spring strike removes pressure adjustment steps during large patch panel jobs.
One tool covers both 110 and 88 blocks, which reduces the number of items carried to site.
The reversible blade trims wire flush without a separate cutter.
Handle storage keeps a spare blade with the tool instead of in a separate case.
The compact body reaches terminals inside shallow wall boxes and dense 1U panels.
Rubberised grip improves control on long termination sessions.
Replaceable square blades extend service life beyond the supplied edge.
