Description
IDC Termination Hand Tool
The HT-324B Punch Down Tool seats and trims twisted-pair conductors in 110 and 88 IDC terminal blocks. A spring-loaded impact mechanism drives the blade home with repeatable force. The hardened blade reverses and swaps without tools, and a spare sits in the handle cap.
The body is moulded in high-impact plastic and measures roughly 140 mm overall. One blade end seats the wire, while the opposite end seats and cuts the excess. A rotating collar switches impact pressure between H and L settings for larger and smaller conductors.
Technicians use the tool on patch panels, keystone jacks, cross-connect blocks and modular outlets. The reversible blade covers 110 and 88/Krone contacts from a single handle. Unit weight sits near 114 g, so terminating a full 24-port panel does not fatigue the wrist.
Key Features
Spring-Loaded Impact Mechanism
The internal spring releases a controlled strike that seats the conductor without crushing the IDC contact.Reversible Hardened Blade
- One end seats the wire only
- Opposite end seats and trims the excess tail
- Blade flips in the holder without a separate tool
110 and 88/Krone Compatibility
The blade profile mates with both terminal block families used in voice and data cross-connects.Adjustable Impact Pressure
A turn collar selects the H setting for heavier conductors or the L setting for lighter gauge wire.Onboard Spare Blade Storage
The handle cap holds one square blade, so a worn edge swaps out at the panel instead of the workshop.High-Impact Plastic Housing
The moulded shell absorbs drops onto concrete floors and resists cracking at the blade collar.

Why Choose HT-324B
A spring strike delivers consistent seating force across every port on a panel.
One handle covers 110 and 88 blocks, which trims the tool count in a technician bag.
The punch-and-cut end removes wire tails in the same motion as termination.
H and L pressure settings adapt the strike to different conductor gauges.
Spare blade storage keeps a replacement within reach during long cabling jobs.
