Description
Q470 Business Microtower Platform
The HP ProDesk 600 G6 is a microtower business desktop built around the Intel Q470 chipset and a 10th Gen Core i5-10500 processor. HP pairs 8 GB of DDR4-2666 memory with a 500 GB 7200 rpm hard disk and a 128 GB PCIe NVMe solid-state drive. The two drives split the operating system from bulk data.
The six-core i5-10500 runs at 3.1 GHz base and reaches 4.5 GHz under Turbo Boost, with 12 MB of L3 cache and Intel UHD Graphics 630. Four DIMM slots accept up to 128 GB, and the board exposes two M.2 2280 storage connectors plus one M.2 2230 socket for a WLAN card. The unit supports Intel vPro on vPro-enabled SKUs.
Front I/O carries four USB Type-A 10 Gbps ports, two USB Type-A 5 Gbps ports and a combo audio jack. The rear panel adds four more 5 Gbps Type-A ports, Gigabit Ethernet, VGA and DisplayPort 1.4. A 180 W internal supply with active PFC feeds the board, and the chassis measures 15.5 x 30.3 x 33.7 cm at 5.0 kg.

Why Choose the ProDesk 600 MT
Dual-drive staging separates the boot volume from user data without a partition scheme.
Four memory slots and two free M.2 connectors let procurement stage upgrades across a multi-year refresh cycle.
The 3.5-inch bay accepts high-capacity SATA disks for local backup and imaging repositories.
DisplayPort 1.4 and VGA run two monitors without a discrete graphics card.
MIL-STD 810H testing and an 18-month platform stability window simplify fleet standardisation.
Sure Start and Sure Recover reduce desk visits caused by firmware corruption.

Used it for a week and it runs our POS software and Office suite without trouble. Would have given 5 stars but the HDD is a bit slow when copying large files. Reasonable for the price.
Anthony Kipchirchir (verified owner) –
Solid build, the HP chassis feels heavier than the cheaper brands. Ports on the front are handy for flash drives.
George Ouma (verified owner) –
Tower case is compact enough to fit under the desk. Fan noise is low during normal work. RAM at 8GB is fine for us but plan for an upgrade if you run heavy applications.
Faith Wairimu (verified owner) –
Ordered three units for our reception and accounts desks. Arrived well packed on the promised date. The i5-10500 handles our accounting software and browser tabs without slowing down.
Daniel Kariuki (verified owner) –
Standard office desktop that does what it says. We installed it on our reception desk and it has been stable for the past month.
Charles Mwangi (verified owner) –
Boots from the 128GB SSD in seconds and the 500GB HDD handles our document archive. Good split for an office machine.
Purity Achieng (verified owner) –
The dual storage setup is the reason we picked this model. Windows and applications sit on the SSD while old records stay on the hard disk. No driver issues on Windows 11.
