Roof Rack Spare Wheel Mounting Bracket

The Front Runner SWCL004 is a low-profile clamp that secures a spare wheel to a Front Runner roof rack or load bar set. It mounts across two slats and holds the wheel with the hub facing down toward the platform. That arrangement frees the wheel well for extra gear.

The bracket suits raised-dish rims with the hollow side facing up. It tightens against the back side of the wheel rather than the face, which protects the finish. The clamp body measures 263 mm long, 55 mm wide and 242 mm high. Total weight is 1.5 kg.

Black powder-coated high-strength steel forms the rack bracket and clamp bracket. The kit ships with both brackets and the mounting hardware. The clamp accommodates deep offsets and a wide range of wheel sizes. Installation takes standard hand tools and no drilling of the rack slats.

Operators load the wheel onto the rack with the hub toward the slats, then position the clamp across two slats and tighten the hardware. The low-profile body keeps the wheel close to the platform and limits added height. Check fastener torque after the first trip and after any wheel change.
