The Front Runner RRAC153 is a two-piece upright carrier that secures a bicycle by its fork and rear wheel. It mounts to a Front Runner rack or load bar set and holds one bike. Black powder-coated 3CR12 stainless steel forms the main structure, with a rubber ladder strap and plastic ratchet buckle at the rear.

The rear wheel holder measures 230 x 137 x 66 mm, and the front clamp measures 48 x 152 x 53 mm. The complete assembly weighs 2.6 kg. The front fork clamp uses a quick release that accepts all standard fork dropouts. The rear holder covers wheel sizes from 700C x 23 mm road tyres up to 26 x 4.5-inch fat bike tyres, so one carrier serves road, gravel and fat bike builds.

Fitment requires a minimum rack length of 1156 mm, equivalent to six slats. The carrier works with the Thru Axle Adapter RRAC119 when a thru-axle or pinch-axle fork needs mounting. E-bike use depends on the rack total weight capacity, so confirm the load rating before carrying a powered bike. Front Runner backs the accessory with a three-year warranty.

Installation uses the supplied hardware and fitting instructions. Set the front clamp on the rack slat, align the rear holder with the wheelbase, and torque the fasteners. Load the bike by dropping the fork onto the quick release, then strap the rear wheel through the ratchet buckle. Check strap tension after the first few kilometres on corrugated roads.

The carrier suits touring, trail access and shuttle runs where the bike rides above the roofline. Keeping the bike upright avoids handlebar contact with the roof and leaves tray space for cargo boxes. The two-piece layout also lets technicians replace the front clamp or rear holder separately if one part is damaged.

Inspect the strap and buckle at each trip. Replace the rubber ladder strap if it shows cuts or hardening. Keep the quick release clean and lightly lubricated so the cam action stays smooth. The powder coat resists stone chips and road salt, and the stainless body limits corrosion on coastal routes.
