Description
Thermal Receipt Printing for High-Volume POS Counters
The Epson TM-T88VII receipt printer prints thermal receipts at up to 500 mm/s and 180 dpi resolution. It provides USB 2.0, Ethernet 10/100Base-T, and RS-232 serial interfaces on the standard model. An auto cutter rated for 3 million cuts separates each receipt, and the 80 mm paper path accepts rolls up to 83 mm in diameter.
The unit uses ESC/POS command protocols and supports ePOS-Print for Ethernet and wireless networks. Backward compatibility with T88V and T88VI software lets existing POS applications run unchanged. The receive buffer offers 45 bytes or 4 KB selectable, and 384 KB of NV graphics memory stores logos and macros.
Power comes from a 24 VDC supply, drawing 27.6 W during operation and 0.5 W in standby. The chassis measures 145 x 195 x 148 mm and weighs 1.7 kg. Operating temperature spans 5°C to 45°C, and the unit carries a 48-month carry-in warranty.
The thermal head rates for 200 km of print life, while the MCBF reaches 70 million lines. Media thickness ranges from 48 to 80 µm. At 80 mm width, the printer produces 42, 48, or 56 columns. Barcode support covers UPC-A/E, Code 39/93/128, QR Code, PDF417, Data Matrix, and GS1-128.
Standard connectivity includes USB 2.0, Ethernet, and RS-232 serial, plus a drawer kick-out port for cash drawer control. An optional USB host port and PoweredUSB interface handle peripheral power. The package includes a PS-190 power supply and AC cable, a paper roll spacer, and a power switch cover.
