D-Link DIR-612 Wireless N300 Router – 300Mbps, 4x 10/100 LAN, 2x 5dBi Antennas

Single-Band Router for Wired and Wireless Clients

The D-Link DIR-612 is a single-band wireless router that shares a broadband link across wired and wireless clients on the 2.4 GHz band. It supports 300 Mbps PHY rates and four Fast Ethernet LAN ports for desktop and peripheral connections.

The unit pairs a 10/100 WAN interface with a 2×2 external antenna array. Two fixed 5 dBi antennas support spatial multiplexing and extend coverage compared with internal designs. The radio operates on IEEE 802.11n/g/b standards and falls back to legacy 802.11b/g for older clients.

An integrated NAT firewall, WPA/WPA2 encryption and Wi-Fi Protected Setup handle basic network security. The browser-based setup wizard and UPnP support reduce commissioning time. Repeater mode extends an existing wireless footprint when a wired uplink is unavailable.

Key Features

• 300 Mbps Single-Band Radio
Delivers up to 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz using 2×2 MIMO and 40 MHz channels under 802.11n.

• Fast Ethernet Switching
Four 10/100 LAN ports connect wired clients; one 10/100 WAN port accepts the broadband modem link.

• External 5 dBi Antennas

  • Two fixed omnidirectional antennas
  • 2×2 spatial multiplexing support

• WPA2 and WPS Security
Supports WPA/WPA2 personal encryption and push-button Wi-Fi Protected Setup for client onboarding.

• Repeater Mode
Extends an existing wireless network without a dedicated Ethernet run to the router.

• NAT Firewall and UPnP
Network Address Translation shields LAN hosts; UPnP allows automatic port mapping for compatible applications.

• Multiple WAN Modes
Supports Dynamic IP (DHCP), Static IP, PPPoE, PPTP and L2TP for broadband authentication.
