Double-Conversion Online UPS for Rack Cabinets
The APC Smart-UPS RT 5kVA is a 3U rackmount online UPS rated at 5000 VA and 3500 W. It converts incoming AC to DC and back to a clean sine wave, so connected loads never see raw mains. Eight IEC C13 and two IEC C19 outlets distribute protected power to servers, switches and storage shelves.
A SmartSlot bay carries the bundled Web/SNMP management card for remote monitoring and shutdown scripting. Rear panels provide RS-232 serial and USB signalling ports. The internal battery set recharges in about 2.5 hours and uses APCRBC140 cartridges for field replacement, with a typical service life of three to five years.
The 3U chassis measures 432 mm wide and 660 mm deep and weighs roughly 54.6 kg. Internal automatic bypass maintains output during maintenance or overload. Operating temperature spans 0–40°C at 0–95% non-condensing humidity, and the online topology isolates loads from sags, spikes and frequency drift across a 160–280V input window.
