Smart-UPS On-Line RT 5kVA Rackmount
The APC Smart-UPS SRTG5KXI is an online double-conversion rackmount UPS rated at 5000 VA and 4500 W for 230 V three-wire installations. It delivers continuous conditioned power to mission-critical servers, virtualization hosts, and storage arrays that cannot tolerate transfer gaps or voltage distortion. The Smart-UPS On-Line RT series targets data center edge nodes, colocation cabinets, and enterprise wiring closets where zero transfer time and scalable battery runtime matter.
Online topology rectifies incoming AC to DC, charges the battery bank, and regenerates clean sine-wave output through the inverter at all times. Connected equipment never sees raw utility power. This architecture eliminates transfer delays and provides consistent voltage and frequency regardless of input quality. During a mains failure the inverter continues operating from battery energy without switching paths.
The 6U rackmount chassis integrates into standard 19-inch server racks with included mounting hardware. A rotatable LCD display reports load percentage, battery runtime estimate, input/output metrics, and alarm history. Hot-swappable battery modules allow replacement without powering down protected loads when configured with optional external battery packs. A SmartSlot accepts network management cards for remote monitoring over SNMP, HTTP, and modbus protocols.
4500 W output capacity supports dense 1U and 2U server configurations with redundant power supplies. Field technicians configure output receptacles and bypass arrangements per regional electrical standards. PowerChute Network Shutdown coordinates graceful cluster shutdown across virtualized environments when runtime thresholds are reached.
