The APC Easy UPS BVG1600I is a line-interactive uninterruptible power supply rated at 1600 VA and 900 W in a compact tower chassis. It protects workstations, network switches, and small server racks against power sags, surges, and short outages on 230 V mains. APC designed the Easy UPS series for straightforward deployment in branch offices, retail POS environments, and remote network closets where reliable battery backup must fit a modest footprint and budget.
Line-interactive topology uses automatic voltage regulation to correct brownouts without switching to battery power. That reduces battery cycling and extends service life compared with basic standby units. When input voltage falls outside the acceptable window or mains power fails entirely, the inverter engages and supplies conditioned output from the internal sealed lead-acid battery. Four universal IEC 320 C13 outlets accept standard computer and networking power cords without regional adapter changes.
The tower form factor suits floor placement beside a desk or on a shelf in a wiring cabinet. Front-panel LEDs report utility presence, battery mode, overload, and fault conditions so technicians can diagnose status at a glance. A USB communication port enables connection to host systems for graceful shutdown through PowerChute or native OS power management.
