RIVER 3
The EcoFlow RIVER 3 UPS is a compact LiFePO4 portable power station built for sub-10 ms standby transfer on Kenya and UK mains at 230V, 50Hz. It stores 245Wh at 19.2V and delivers 300W continuous AC output with pure sine wave regulation. When grid power drops, the unit switches to battery within 10 ms, which protects desktops, NAS units, routers, and other loads that cannot tolerate abrupt shutdown.
X-Boost raises supported resistive loads to 600W without tripping overload protection on heating and motor-driven appliances. The single AC socket shares 300W rated output with 600W surge headroom on EU, ZA, UK, AU, and CH variants. Bypass mode passes through 220-240V mains when the pack is online and charged, which keeps connected gear on grid power during normal operation.
One USB-C port outputs up to 100W through PD3.0 and QC3.0 profiles at 5/9/12/15V, 3A and 20V, 5A for laptops, tablets, and USB-C peripherals. Two USB-A ports supply 12W each, 24W combined at 5V, 2.4A. The 12.6V cigarette-lighter port delivers up to 126W for DC appliances. Total simultaneous output across all ports reaches 550W when loads are balanced within rated limits.
Recharge options cover AC mains, solar, and vehicle inputs. AC charging on 220-240V input restores 0-100% in about one hour through X-Stream fast charging at up to 305W input. Solar input accepts 11-30V at up to 8A, 110W maximum. Car charging uses 12/24V at 8A, 100W maximum through the XT60 port. LiFePO4 cells are rated for 3000 cycles to 80% state of health at 0.5C/0.5C and 25C, which supports long deployment cycles compared with lead-acid UPS packs.
The integrated LCD reports battery level, input and output power, remaining runtime, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth status, and fault warnings. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth link the unit to the EcoFlow app for remote monitoring, charge-speed control, X-Boost toggling, AC timeout settings, and firmware updates. Operating noise stays below 30 dB during typical loads, which suits office desks and bedside backup roles. The IP54-rated battery pack adds resistance to dust and splash in field use.
The chassis measures 255 x 212 x 113 mm and weighs about 3.5 kg. Protection circuits cover over-voltage, overload, over-temperature, short circuit, low temperature, low voltage, and overcurrent conditions. Discharge temperature range spans -10C to 45C. Operating altitude is rated to 2000 m. EcoFlow recommends powering one AC device under 300W at a time to avoid overload trips during UPS duty.
