RIVER 3 Plus
The EcoFlow RIVER 3 Plus is a compact LiFePO4 portable power station built for standby UPS duty and mobile power. It stores 286Wh at 22.4V and delivers 600W continuous AC output on UK and Kenya mains at 230V, 50Hz. Transfer time stays under 10 ms when grid power drops, which protects desktops, NAS units, routers, and other sensitive loads from abrupt shutdown.
Pure sine wave AC output supports three protected outlets rated for 600W total, with 1200W surge headroom and X-Boost handling for selected high-wattage resistive loads. A single USB-C port outputs up to 100W through PD3.0 and QC3.0 profiles for laptops, tablets, and USB-C peripherals. Two USB-A ports supply 12W each, 24W combined. The 12.6V cigarette-lighter port delivers up to 126W for DC appliances.
Capacity expands wirelessly through the rear Pogo Pin port. Stack one EcoFlow Smart Extra Battery, either the EB300 at 286Wh or the EB600 at 572Wh, to reach 858Wh without cables or screws. The extra battery can also add a 140W USB-C port when used with compatible models. Total system output rises to 990W when a Smart Extra Battery is attached.
Recharge options cover AC mains, solar, vehicle, and generator inputs. AC charging on 220-240V input restores 0-100% in about one hour through X-Stream fast charging. Solar input accepts 11-55V at up to 220W. Car charging uses the same 11-55V input at 8A maximum. LiFePO4 cells are rated for 3000 cycles to 80% state of health at 25C, which supports long deployment cycles compared with lead-acid UPS packs.
UPS management runs through EcoFlow Power Manager software on a PC or NAS. Connect the included USB-B to USB-A communication cable to monitor status, review outage logs, receive low-battery alerts, and trigger controlled shutdowns. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth link the unit to the EcoFlow app for remote monitoring, charge-speed control, scheduled tasks, and firmware updates. The color LCD reports UPS status, input and output power, and remaining runtime.
The chassis measures 234 x 232 x 146 mm and weighs about 4.7 kg. Ventilation keeps noise below 30 dB during typical operation, which suits office desks and bedside backup roles. Built-in strip lighting activates during outages for local visibility. Protection circuits cover over-voltage, overload, over-temperature, short circuit, low temperature, low voltage, and overcurrent conditions. Operating altitude is rated to 2000 m.
