Description
USB 2.0 Type-A to Type-A Interconnect
The Vention COJBF USB cable links a host port to a USB 2.0 peripheral across a one-metre run. Both ends terminate in a Type-A male plug, so the lead suits KVM switches, external drive enclosures and legacy docking stations. Vention rates the assembly for 480 Mbps signalling.
Tinned copper conductors run at 24AWG for the power pair and 28AWG for the data pair. A twofold shield combines aluminium foil with a copper braid. The 4.5 mm PVC jacket stays flexible through repeated coiling and storage in a laptop bag.
Nickel-plated contacts hold contact resistance steady across frequent re-patching. The cable carries no ferrite bead and needs no driver. It draws power from the host port and enumerates under Windows, macOS, Linux and Android.
Key Features
Type-A Male Termination
Both plugs use the standard 4-pin USB 2.0 shell, so the lead mates with host ports and device ports alike.480 Mbps Signal Path
The assembly meets the USB 2.0 High Speed envelope and moves a 700 MB disk image in roughly twelve seconds.Double-Shielded Construction
- Aluminium foil wrap over the data pair
- Tinned copper braid over the foil for a low-impedance drain
- Combined coverage limits crosstalk from adjacent power cabling
Tinned Copper Conductors
24AWG power cores and 28AWG data cores carry current and signal with low resistive loss.Nickel-Plated Contacts
Plating resists oxidation on ports that technicians re-patch during bench testing.4.5 mm PVC Jacket
The slim round profile pulls through desk grommets and cable trays without snagging.

Why Choose the COJBF
The one-metre span reaches from a rear chassis port to a front-accessible KVM without excess slack.
Tinned copper cores resist corrosion in humid server rooms better than bare copper strands.
Foil and braid shielding keep 480 Mbps links stable beside switching power supplies.
Nickel-plated plugs tolerate the repeated mating cycles typical of test benches and repair desks.
The 4.5 mm jacket fits tight conduit and cable management fingers in retrofitted racks.

Does the job. Note that it is a straight-through A-to-A cable so verify your device supports that before ordering.

I use it for a USB switch box between two workstations. Solid build and the PVC jacket has held up well. Good cable for the office.

Works fine for a printer share cable I set up between two PCs. Short and tidy.

Bought this for a USB A-to-A link between a docking station and a network adapter. Works exactly as intended, no dropouts on the connection. The 1m length is spot on for desk use.

We used several of these for a KVM switch deployment across our data entry team. The USB 2.0 data rate of 480 Mbps is fine for keyboards and mice, and none of the cables have failed after a month of daily use. The black PVC jacket is standard but durable.

The Vention cable feels sturdier than the generic ones we had been using. I bought three for our IT storage cabinet and the connectors are well moulded with no exposed wiring. Arrived on time with the rest of our order.

Delivered to Nairobi within two days. Cable is thick enough not to kink and the connectors fit snugly into the ports.

Simple and cheap cable, arrived in original packaging. It sits behind my monitor permanently and the connection is stable.
