Description
Long-Reach HDMI 2.0 Cable for AV Runs
The Vention ALHSN is a 15-metre HDMI 2.0 cable built for long signal runs between source devices and displays. It carries 18 Gbps of bandwidth and supports 4K UHD at 30 Hz across its full length. Aluminum alloy connector shells protect the gold-plated HDMI Type-A plugs.
Copper-clad steel conductors at 28 AWG run inside a foil and braid shield. The shielding blocks electromagnetic interference from nearby power cabling in risers and ceiling voids. A flexible PVC jacket with an 8.0 mm outer diameter eases routing through conduit and trunking.
The cable supports HDR, 3D video, HDCP 2.2, CEC, ARC and the HDMI Ethernet channel. It passes Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio bitstreams. No repeater or external power is required, and the assembly works with televisions, projectors, AV receivers and games consoles.

For 1080p work it is fine, and the shielding seems decent – no interference from the mains cable running alongside. The connector housings are heavier than the previous plastic ones and hold their position better.

Bought this to replace a shorter cable in our training room and it does the job. Note that at this length you will not get 4K 60Hz reliably – I ran 4K 30Hz for a demo and it worked fine, but 1080p 60Hz is the safer bet for long runs. The blue finish makes it easy to trace in a ceiling conduit.
