Description
HDMI to VGA Signal Conversion with Audio
The Vention AIDB0 HDMI converter turns a digital HDMI output into an analog VGA signal and routes stereo sound to a 3.5 mm jack. It carries 1920 x 1080 video at 60 Hz. The signal path is unidirectional and flows from the HDMI source to the VGA display only.
An AG6200 controller performs the digital-to-analog conversion and suppresses ghosting on long VGA runs. The HDMI plug is gold-plated and the VGA socket is nickel-plated. An ABS housing protects the board, and the fixed 0.15 m moulding limits leverage on a projector’s rear panel.
VGA carries no audio, so the 3.5 mm jack provides a separate stereo feed for speakers, amplifiers or a mixer. A micro-USB port accepts 5 V/1 A when the HDMI source cannot deliver enough current. No driver is required on Windows, macOS or Linux, and the host enumerates a standard display output. Deploy it at a reception desk, lecture hall or boardroom where the display predates HDMI.
