Description
Active Repeater Cable for Long USB Runs
The USB 2.0 extension cable carries a built-in repeater that regenerates the differential signal across the full 20-metre span. It connects a host USB-A port to a downstream USB-A device without the 5-metre passive limit.
The cable supports 480 Mbps high-speed throughput and remains backward compatible with USB 1.1 devices at 1.5 and 12 Mbps. Gold-plated USB-A male and female connectors resist oxidation, and double shielding limits EMI and RFI ingress along the run.
Bus power arrives from the host port, and an optional external 5V DC adapter feeds the repeater when the downstream device draws more current. Two cables daisy-chain for a 40-metre reach. The PVC jacket and moulded strain relief suit desk, wall and floor routing.
Key Features
Integrated Signal Repeater
The active circuitry regenerates the USB data pair at the far end, holding 480 Mbps without packet loss over 20 metres.Power Delivery Options
- Bus-powered operation from the host USB-A port
- Optional external 5V DC adapter for higher-current peripherals
- Up to 90 mA supplied to the downstream device in bus mode
Full USB 2.0 Bandwidth
The cable passes high-speed 480 Mbps traffic and negotiates down to 12 Mbps and 1.5 Mbps for legacy devices.Daisy-Chain Support
Two 20-metre cables connect in series for a 40-metre total extension without an intermediate hub.Shielded Construction
Foil and braid shielding block electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference on long cable runs.Gold-Plated Connectors
USB-A male and female contacts carry gold plating to reduce contact resistance across repeated mating cycles.Plug-and-Play Installation
The cable requires no driver or software installation on Windows, macOS or Linux hosts.

Quick start guide
Why Choose This Active Extension Cable
The repeater removes the 5-metre passive limit for cameras, printers and lab instruments.
Dual power paths handle both low-current sensors and bus-powered drives.
Gold-plated contacts and double shielding preserve signal integrity on long runs.
Two-cable daisy chaining reaches 40 metres without adding a powered hub.
The PVC jacket and moulded boots survive repeated handling in shared workspaces.
Plug-and-play operation works across Windows, macOS and Linux hosts.
