Description
USB 2.0 Signal Extension for Long Peripheral Runs
The Ugreen active extension cable carries USB 2.0 traffic across 30 metres without a powered hub at the midpoint. A built-in FE1.1s repeater rebuilds the data signal before it degrades. The cable terminates in a USB-A male plug on the host side and a USB-A female socket on the device side.
Tin-plated 28/24 AWG copper conductors lower transfer impedance along the full run. Triple shielding combines foil, braid and ground layers to reject EMI and RFI from nearby power cabling. The active circuitry draws current from the host bus and requires no driver installation on Windows, macOS, Linux or Chrome OS.
An optional 5 V micro USB input accepts an external supply for high-current peripherals on the 30 m variant. Gold-plated contacts resist corrosion across repeated mating cycles. The PVC and ABS jacket remains flexible for routing through trays, conduits and floor transitions.
Key Features
Active Repeater Architecture
The FE1.1s booster chipset regenerates the USB 2.0 differential signal at the far end of the 30 m span.Triple-Layer Screening
- Aluminium foil wrap blocks high-frequency interference
- Copper braid absorbs low-frequency noise
- Drain wire ties shielding to ground at both connectors
High-Speed USB 2.0 Throughput
The cable sustains 480 Mbps transfers and falls back to USB 1.1 or 1.0 devices without reconfiguration.Low-Impedance Conductors
Stranded tin-plated copper in 28/24 AWG reduces voltage drop over the 30 m length.Gold-Plated Type-A Connectors
Plated contacts hold a stable electrical interface through repeated plug cycles.Optional Auxiliary Power
A micro USB socket accepts 5 V input when a downstream device needs more current than the host port supplies.

Documentation
Why Choose Ugreen US121
The repeater design removes the need for a powered hub or a second active segment on 30 m runs.
Triple screening and copper conductors maintain signal integrity in electrically noisy racks and cabinets.
Bus power keeps the installation simple for low-draw peripherals such as barcode scanners and printers.
The optional 5 V input supports higher-current devices without changing the cable.
Gold-plated Type-A ends tolerate repeated field termination and reconnection.

30 metres is a serious run, and the FE1.1s chipset keeps the signal stable. Connected our reception printer to the back-office PC without any dropouts.

We needed to reach a scanner across the warehouse and this cable did the trick. Data transfer is slower than a short cable, as expected with USB 2.0 over that distance, but it works reliably. The active chipset really makes a difference.
Gabriel Kiptoo (verified owner) –
Thick cable and solid connectors. It’s a bit stiff to route around corners, but that’s a small trade-off for the length.
Dorcas Nyambura (verified owner) –
It works, but I found it occasionally drops the connection when a device draws more power. For a mouse or keyboard over long distance it’s fine; for bus-powered drives I’d be cautious.
Elijah Mwenda (verified owner) –
Set this up to connect a barcode scanner at the far end of our shop to the till, and it’s been running smoothly for weeks. The 30m length gave us plenty of slack to route it neatly along the wall. No power supply needed, which keeps things simple.

Reliable over the full 30m run. Handy cable to have when the desk layout doesn’t cooperate.
