Description
Wall-Plate AC1200 Access Point
The TP-Link EAP235-Wall is an AC1200 dual-band wall-plate access point for hotel rooms, dormitories, and office cubicles. It delivers 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 867 Mbps on 5 GHz. MU-MIMO serves multiple clients concurrently.
Four Gigabit Ethernet ports include one uplink and three downlink interfaces. One downlink port provides PoE pass-through at up to 13 W when powered by an 802.3at source. The unit draws 9.8 W under standard 802.3af input.
The chassis measures 143 × 86 × 20 mm and mounts over 86 mm, EU, or US standard junction boxes. Two dual-band antennas provide 4 dBi gain on both radios. Operating temperature ranges from 0 °C to 40 °C.

Why Choose EAP235-Wall
Delivers per-room wireless coverage with wired bridge ports for VoIP handsets and printers.
Accepts 802.3af/at power over the uplink cable, which removes the need for a local power outlet.
Integrates into Omada SDN for zero-touch provisioning and multi-site cloud management.
Supports 16 SSIDs and VLAN mapping for segmented guest, staff, and device networks.

We fitted these in a hotel corridor in Westlands and the wall-plate form factor is the main win — no ceiling brackets, no visible cabling. Each room gets its own SSID VLAN through Omada and roaming between rooms is clean. Two units per floor covered the whole wing on 5 GHz.

Delivered to our office in Upper Hill faster than expected. Configuring the EAP235-Wall through the Omada controller took under ten minutes per unit. Only thing I’d note is that you need a PoE switch or injector, it doesn’t ship with one.

Works as advertised for a small guesthouse in Karen. Build feels sturdy and the AC1200 speeds are fine for our guest traffic. Took a star off because the mounting instructions assume a standard 86mm back box, and our older walls needed a bit of improvisation.

Solid little AP. MU-MIMO actually shows in a busy small office — we have about 20 devices and nobody complains about buffering anymore. The pass-through port on the front is handy for wiring a desk phone or printer without extra cabling runs.
