Multimode Fiber Lead for 10G Short Runs

The OM3 Patch Cord 1m is a duplex multimode assembly for 850 nm and 1300 nm links. It uses 50/125 µm OM3 fiber and 8° angled SC/APC connectors on both ends. A 2.0 mm zipcord jacket carries the transmit and receive pair.

OM3 glass supports 10GBASE-SR to 300 m and 40GBASE-SR4 to 100 m. Maximum attenuation measures 3.0 dB/km at 850 nm and 1.0 dB/km at 1300 nm. Modal bandwidth reaches 1500 MHz·km and 500 MHz·km across the two windows. APC ferrules hold insertion loss at or below 0.3 dB and return loss at 60 dB or better.

The aqua LSZH jacket marks multimode OM3 stock and limits toxic smoke in enclosed cabinets. Minimum bend radius measures 10 mm static and 20 mm dynamic. Operating temperature spans -20 °C to 70 °C, and storage tolerance reaches 80 °C. Installers use the lead for rack-to-rack jumps, patch panel to switch links and short backbone extensions.
