Description
Strain Relief for Modular Plugs
The RJ45 Strain Relief Boots slide over a terminated modular plug to protect the latch and clamp the cable jacket. They fit standard RJ45 connectors on Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6a cable. Each boot is moulded from flexible PVC in grey.
The boot measures 22 mm long with a 6.0 mm inner diameter at the plug end and a 5.0–6.5 mm grip range at the cable end. A tapered body spreads bending load across the jacket instead of the crimp contacts. The snap-on profile seats over the plug housing without tools and locks the latch tab in place.
Grey colour coding separates these boots from other jacket colours in mixed patch panels. The PVC compound holds flexibility from -20 °C to 60 °C and meets RoHS limits. Installers fit the boot before crimping or slide it on after termination where the plug design allows. A pack of 100 covers a full 24-port panel build with spare units.
