Active mDP to HDMI Video Converter

The DisplayPort to HDMI converter links a Mini DisplayPort or Thunderbolt 1/2 host to an HDMI display. It carries video and audio over a single adapter and supports resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 at 30 Hz. HDCP 1.4 handling allows protected content to play.

The active circuitry rebuilds DisplayPort signalling as HDMI TMDS levels and drives cable runs up to 5 m. It draws power from the Mini DisplayPort source and needs no external supply. The HDMI output carries up to 7.1 channels of digital audio when the source provides it.

The housing measures roughly 45 x 22 x 11 mm and weighs about 20 g. A 15 cm pigtail keeps the adapter clear of adjacent ports on a laptop or dock. The unit works with Windows, macOS and Linux hosts that output Mini DisplayPort 1.2 or Thunderbolt.
