Description
Active Signal Conversion for Legacy Displays
The DisplayPort to VGA Converter translates a DisplayPort 1.2 stream into an analog VGA output for projectors, monitors and KVM consoles. An active chipset handles the conversion, so the adapter works with dual-mode and non-dual-mode DisplayPort sources. The compact housing measures 220 x 35 x 8 mm and weighs 27 g.
The converter supports a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz. It carries 720p and 1080p video modes and passes EDID data so the source selects a compatible timing. A VGA DAC working range up to 270 MHz keeps analog output within VESA clock jitter limits. The adapter draws power from the DisplayPort source and needs no external supply.
Plug-and-play operation needs no driver on Windows, macOS or Linux. Standby detection places the unit in a low-power state when the monitor disconnects. The molded housing resists shielding flex at the connector junction. Operating temperature spans 0 °C to 70 °C at 10-85% relative humidity.
Key Features
Active Conversion Chipset
An Analogix ANX9833 class converter translates DisplayPort signalling into analog RGBHV output without relying on source dual-mode support.Resolution and Timing Support
- Maximum 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz
- 720p and 1080p video modes
- EDID pass-through for automatic mode selection
DisplayPort 1.2 Input
The male DP connector accepts HBR2 links at 5.4 Gbps, 2.7 Gbps and 1.62 Gbps.VGA Output
A 15-pin VGA female port with mounting nuts secures the display cable against pull-out.Bus-Powered Operation
The adapter draws 480 mW active and 8 mW standby from the DisplayPort source.Plug-and-Play Design
The unit needs no driver installation and works across Windows, macOS and Linux hosts.Standby Detection
The chipset enters a low-power state when the monitor disconnects and wakes on reconnection.Compact Molded Housing
The 27 g body fits behind equipment racks and inside laptop bags.

Quick start guide
Why Choose This Adapter
The active chipset drives legacy VGA displays from DisplayPort sources that lack dual-mode output.
EDID pass-through removes manual resolution setup on projectors and older monitors.
Bus power eliminates a separate adapter at lecterns and wall-mounted equipment.
The 1920 x 1200 ceiling covers WUXGA panels and full-HD projectors.
Standby detection cuts draw when the display is switched off or unplugged.
The 27 g body and short lead suit travel between meeting rooms.
