Sixteen-Port Copper Access Switch

The D-Link DGS-F1016C provides sixteen auto-negotiating 10/100/1000 Mbps copper ports in a fanless metal enclosure. Each port resolves speed, duplex and MDI/MDIX polarity independently, so straight-through and crossover cabling both work. The unit forwards frames at wire speed across all ports simultaneously, which suits workgroup access, branch offices and retail back-room deployments.

A 32 Gbps switching fabric and an 8,000-entry MAC address table carry the full port count without oversubscription. Store-and-forward switching validates every frame before transmission, and IEEE 802.3x flow control reduces dropped packets when a receive buffer fills. Jumbo frames up to 9,216 bytes cut per-packet overhead on imaging and backup traffic.

The switch accepts 100 to 240 V AC input and carries 6 kV surge protection on the power supply and on every RJ45 port. It runs from 0 to 45 °C in 10 to 90 percent non-condensing humidity. A 29.4 x 17.9 x 4.4 cm chassis at 1.06 kg fits shallow cabinets, shelves and wall positions.
