Description
N300 Coverage Expansion for 2.4 GHz Wireless Networks
The Mercusys MW300RE range extender connects wirelessly to an existing router and rebroadcasts its signal into rooms that the primary access point cannot reach. It operates in range extender mode only, so it adds coverage without introducing a second routed subnet or DHCP scope. Three external antennas and MIMO signal processing carry the repeated traffic.
The unit supports IEEE 802.11n, 802.11g and 802.11b clients on the 2.4–2.5 GHz band, with a physical link rate of up to 300 Mbps. Receive sensitivity measures -79 dBm at 11g 54M, -76 dBm at HT20 MCS7 and -72 dBm at HT40 MCS7. Transmit power stays below 20 dBm EIRP, which keeps the device inside indoor regulatory limits.
A WPS button pairs the unit with the host router in seconds, and a long press on the same button performs a factory reset. The multicolor LED reports signal strength at the installed position, so technicians can test a location before final mounting. A rear slot accepts a wall screw, and the 101 x 74.8 x 75.8 mm chassis fits standard drywall or trunking runs.
Key Features
N300 Throughput on 2.4 GHz
The device delivers a 300 Mbps physical link rate over IEEE 802.11n and falls back to 802.11g or 802.11b for older clients.Three Adjustable External Antennas
MIMO spatial processing and three antennas improve received signal quality and repeated throughput compared with single-antenna units.WPS Pairing and Hardware Reset
- One-touch WPS associates with the host router without a browser session.
- A long press on the same button restores factory defaults.
Multicolor Signal Indicator
The LED reports link quality at the outlet, so installers can validate a position before fixing the bracket.Wall-Mount Chassis
The compact housing includes a rear mounting slot and draws roughly 4.3 W from the supplied external adapter.

This extender sorted the dead zone in my bedroom. The three antennas really make a difference compared to the small one I had before. Setup took a few minutes and it’s been stable since.
Sharon Nekesa (verified owner) –
Simple to set up and it works. The antennas are adjustable which helps with aiming the signal. Happy with the purchase.
Francis Mwangi (verified owner) –
Works well to extend WiFi to the back of the house. Only thing is it’s 2.4GHz only, so don’t expect 5GHz speeds. For browsing and YouTube it’s fine.
Irene Akinyi (verified owner) –
Good value for money. I placed it halfway between the router and my office and now I get full bars there. Delivery was prompt too.
David Kimani (verified owner) –
The extender does what it says. I like that it has an Ethernet port, so I can connect my smart TV directly. The signal is strong and I haven’t had any dropouts.
