Portable Two-Burner Gas Braai

The Megamaster Origin 2 burner tabletop gas braai delivers 16,000 BTU across a 1289 cm² cooking surface. It weighs 8.3 kg and folds down for transport in a vehicle boot. Stainless steel covers the body, burners and lid.

Each of the two stainless steel burners sits beneath a flame tamer that spreads heat and limits flare-ups. A push-and-turn ignition lights both burners without a separate lighter. The 201-grade wire grids measure 35 x 33 cm and lift out for cleaning.

The unit measures 51.5 cm long, 51.2 cm wide and 40.3 cm high with the lid closed. Foldable legs collapse against the body, and the lid locks for carrying. A removable grease tray slides out from the front so fat drains clear of the fire.

Run the braai from a 9 kg LPG cylinder through the supplied hose and regulator. Place it on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from walls and dry vegetation. Check the hose joints with soapy water before the first light-up, then repeat the check after each cylinder swap. Clean the grids and tray once the unit cools, and store the braai under cover between trips.
