The Megamaster 1000 Deluxe braai is a freestanding charcoal and wood unit built for patio, courtyard and entertainment-area cooking. It measures 129 cm long, 45 cm wide and 106 cm high, and weighs 31 kg. The mild steel body carries a black high-heat finish that tolerates repeated firing.

The primary cooking area spans 2900 cm², and the grid measures 72.5 x 40 cm. A three-tier adjustable grid sets the cooking height over the coals. An ember maker feeds glowing coals into the fire bed, and a potjie hook hangs a cast-iron pot above the heat. A removable ash drawer simplifies cleanup after a long cook.

Two side shelves and a front rail hold tongs, plates and marinades within reach. The unit rolls on castors, so one person moves it between storage and the patio. A separate fire starter compartment keeps the initial fire away from the cooking surface. The lid, frame and fire bowl use mild steel throughout.

Season the grid before first use and re-oil it after each wash. Empty the ash drawer only once the coals have cooled completely. Wipe the painted surfaces with a damp cloth, and touch up chips with high-heat paint. Store the braai under cover through the rainy season.
