The LC/UPC 1.5M Pigtail is a factory-terminated single-mode fiber assembly for splicing into optical distribution frames and splice closures. It carries one LC/UPC connector on a 1.5m tight-buffered cord. The yellow jacket follows single-mode colour coding for quick identification.
The cord uses G.657.A1 bend-insensitive fiber with a 900µm tight buffer and a 0.9mm outer diameter. A ceramic zirconia ferrule holds the LC/UPC endface. Typical insertion loss sits at 0.2dB with a 0.3dB maximum, and return loss reaches 50dB or better.
The assembly operates from -40°C to 70°C and tolerates a 15mm minimum dynamic bend radius. Installers fusion-splice the unterminated end onto incoming cable and plug the LC connector into a patch panel adapter. The 1.5m length gives enough slack for tray routing without excess coil.
